There's a quick and easy solution to get rid of this using System Preferences (shortcut ⌘ + comma):
Mail > System Preferences > Accounts > Untick 'Show notes in inbox'
This will get rid of any notes appearing on your Mail inbox.

Disable Notes From Appearing in Mail Inbox Lion
I've slowly been syncing my iPhone to iCloud. Recently I noticed when using the Mail feature for Lion my Notes (synced from iCloud) automatically appear in my Mail inbox. For the most part this is quite a nuisance.
There's a quick and easy solution to get rid of this using System Preferences (shortcut ⌘ + comma):
Mail > System Preferences > Accounts > Untick 'Show notes in inbox'
